Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix is one of the largest metro areas in the United States and has a diverse economy featuring large and small corporations and millions of workers. This partnership between business and workers has served Phoenix well. As workers’ compensation attorneys, Snow, Carpio and Weekley helps maintain that partnership by representing the Phoenix workers that have workers’ compensation claims.

Workers’ compensation is a no-fault insurance policy that employers must maintain by federal and state law. It protects both the you and your employer. If you are injured on the job, workers’ compensation insurance will take care of medical expenses and even pay a percentage of lost wages for days you are unable to work. The law even provides a system where you and your employer can maintain your relationship during your recover until you are able to return to work.

Workers’ compensation is an insurance program that protects employees in case they sustain illnesses, injuries, or death as a result of their job. Every employer should have workers’ compensation insurance. If you need help claiming it in the state of Arizona, you may seek the help of Phoenix workers compensation lawyers. If you are an employee that has been injured at work, you can benefit from the program. The insurance program covers your medical costs and a portion of your lost wages.

The Claims Process

Both employers and employees have a role to play under the workers’ compensation system. As an employee, it is your responsibility to report the accident as soon as possible. Employers, on the other hand, are obligated to carry workers’ compensation insurance. They also have the responsibility of educating employees about their rights and responsibilities. If you are confused about its provisions, you may seek advice from your lawyer. Having the help of a knowledgeable lawyer makes things easier.

Report your injuries to your supervisor and speak with Phoenix workers’ compensation lawyers as soon as you can. If you don’t report your injuries or illness on time, you may lose your rights to receive a settlement.

When you visit a doctor, keep track of your medical records and reports. You will need them when seeking a settlement.

Working with Phoenix workers’ compensation lawyers is a good idea. It helps you ensure that you get the best settlement possible. The lawyer you choose has a significant impact on the experience you have and the amount you get as compensation. They will act on your behalf and represent your best interest. They will communicate with your employer’s insurance provider on your behalf. They may work with you to gather the medical evidence you need to support your claim.

Even though it is possible to go through the process without the help of an attorney, it can be difficult. Note that the claims adjusters working for the insurance company do not have your best interest in mind. The legal processes can be complex and there is a lot of paperwork to be filed. If you don’t work with a good workers’ compensation lawyer, you are unlikely to get the compensation you deserve. A good attorney can help with the following;

Gathering your medical records
Seeking medical opinions from experts
Representing you at dispositions
Negotiating and structuring your settlement agreements
Giving you legal advice when you need it
Representing you in workers’ compensation hearings

If you are looking for Phoenix workers’ compensation lawyers, consider working with Snow, Carpio, and Weekley, PLC. We always strive to deliver incredible results. Phoenix Workers’ Compensation Attorneys

It could be that you slipped and fell while walking on wet pavement while at work, perhaps you injured your back from lifting heavy boxes or fell from a ladder while working. Whichever the case, you have the right to file a claim and seek compensation for injuries incurred while at the workplace. However, as easy as it may sound, you must prove your case and show that the injury resulted from your employer’s negligence for you to be compensated. This is where a worker’s compensation attorney comes in to help you navigate through the complex law and make your claim a success.

The main challenge comes in selecting the right lawyer, especially with the rise in Phoenix workers’ compensation attorneys coming up and claiming to offer the best services. Not every lawyer is right to represent you. Below are guiding tips to help you choose the right attorney:

Consider experience

Experience is equally as important as the lawyer’s level of education. It would be best if you found an attorney who has been in the industry for the longest time, as this means that they have the required expertise to fight workplace injuries. The lawyer should have many years combined with experience in workers’ compensation lawyer.

Certification

The right lawyer should be certified and approved to offer these services. If the service provider is licensed, it shows that they have undergone evaluation and fulfilled all the requirements by the authorities. You can, therefore, trust that the lawyer will meet your needs and ensure that you get the compensation you deserve.

Consider the attorney’s commitment

You want an attorney that understands how that case is important to you and will do everything in their power to see it become a success. The attorney should be committed to solve it and ensure that you get the best value compensation. You can determine if the lawyer is dedicated to you by checking how fast they respond to your emails and calls. Also, check the attorney’s availability during the meeting. The last thing you want is to get their divided attention.

Check the lawyer’s portfolio

You should look for a lawyer that understands the workers’ compensation law and can put that to practice to make your claim a success. Take your time and review the attorney’s portfolio to see the success rate of his/her previous cases. The higher the success rate, the higher the chances that the attorney will meet your needs, and you win the case.

The cost of services

Cost plays a vital role when selecting any service provider, and this case is not an exception. The rates should be reasonably affordable. As much as you want to save money, you should not let low cost lure you into selecting the wrong attorney. Compare the rates offered by different lawyers and select the most reasonable.

The above tips are useful to help you find the right workers’ compensation lawyer to meet both your needs and budget. You should not make a mistake of selecting the first choice that comes your way. Instead, take your time, do in-depth research until you find the most suitable attorney for you.

  • SCW_logo_grad_web

The SCW Conrad Carpio Education Scholarship was named in honor of Conrad Carpio, the father of Firm Partner Alex Carpio. Conrad was born in Cananea, Sonora Mexico. He came to the United States in 1970 and became a Legal Permanent Resident in 1986 through Amnesty. He is the father of 5 children. Conrad has been a roofer with Ralph Hays Rooming since 1975. After 44 years of roofing he retired, but after three months of retirement he decided retirement was not for him and he is still working with Ralph Hays Roofing to this day. Like many of the firm’s injured worker clients, Conrad is an immigrant who came to the United States for a better life. He worked hard to provide a better future for his family. Conrad also suffered work injuries as a roofer and each time he recovered and his employer accommodated him as his work ethic is like no other. Snow, Carpio & Weekley, PLC decided to name their annual scholarship, “The Conrad Carpio Education Scholarship,” in honor of Conrad. Conrad, like many of the firm’s clients are hardworking individuals who exemplify the American Dream and the injured workers the firm has represented for decades.
